Digger
is the first Grausturm dog to go overseas. He is trained by Johny
and his dad Hans Van Holstein. Digger won Best of Breed at the
World Winner Show in Dortmund, Germany in May 2003, making him a
World Champion and the first Australian Weimaraner longhair
to gain this honour. He was also 2nd Best in Show at Weimaraner
Specialty in Holland in 2003. He is also a Dutch Champion (Ned
Kamp). Digger has been graded "Excellent" under many different
judges, including at the World Winner Show in Amsterdam 2002 and in
Dortmund 2003. He was invited to go to Crufts in 2003 and 2004,
perhaps the first Australian Weimaraner to have this honour.
Unfortunately he could not attend 2003 because of paper work
problems with vaccinations so he was reinvited for 2004 and has also
earned this honour twice since!!
Digger is working well in the field
and has already gained 3 C diplomas and 2 B diplomas for his field
tests and came 2nd out of 60 dogs at his last trial and was also the
youngest Weimaraner to achieve this award.
Digger has been given an excellent hip
score grading.

Audry
lives with Irena Shuke in Latvia, Europe, and is co-owned by Irena's
fiance Frederic Linn in Missouri, USA. At 9 months of age Audry
already had a Best Puppy In Gundog Specialty Show award, and 7 Best
Puppy In Breed's. Her first time in Junior Class in September 2005,
having just turned 9 months of age, she went BOB and placed 3rd in
FCI Group 7 in the Finals. To date she has been graded "very
promising" and "excellent" conformation by judges from Belorus,
Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Russia, Latvia, Sweden, and
Germany.
On
her 10 months birthday, Audry passed her Retrieving Test with a
PERFECT score, and was thus graded "excellent", becoming one of the
top gundogs of the Latvian Gundog Breeders Club. Audry has also
passed her Marsh Bird test with the grade "Very Good" and is thus
entitled to be shown in Working Class at all FCI shows. After her
splendid performance at the Retrieving Test she is now used as a
back up dog at hunt tests for any dogs that refuse to retrieve from
water. In her owners' words, she is a very un-demanding, easy to
manage, gentle and loving dog at home.
Audry is exclusively handled by her owner Irena Shuke in the
showring and in the field.
Audry's litter brother "Kovu" Grausturm Little Devil and two
longhaired sisters, "Mischka" Grausturm Live The Dream and "Nala"
Grausturm Love In A Mist, are well on their way to their Aust Ch
titles. Nala recently took Longhair Puppy of Breed at the 3rd
Australian Weimaraner National and Kovu was 1st in his class.
Audry's
arrival in Europe was featured in The Mercury on 30th March
2005. (Click on the article to
